In a sensational display of batting, Lahore Whites' star batter Ahmed Shehzad smashed an incredible double-century, scoring 253 runs in a marathon innings of 390 balls during a Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2023-24 match against Peshawar Region.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore witnessed an extraordinary performance as Shehzad's remarkable innings propelled his team to 509/9.

With a strike-rate of 61.9, Ahmed Shehzad showcased incredible patience and resilience at the crease, hitting a plethora of boundaries, including 30 fours and a six.

This stunning achievement marks the second First-Class double-century of his career.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore has become a hotbed for cricketing excellence this season, witnessing four double-centuries by batters.

Meanwhile, Ali Zaryab also smashed 141 while Umar Akmal played a knock of 64.

The fans of Ahmed Shehzad were elated with his knock and demanded his comeback as he has yet to don a Pakistan jersey since 2019.

In the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the regional teams have been battling it out in intense cricketing encounters. The Peshawar Region, currently sitting at the top of the table, has displayed an impressive performance with two wins and a draw in their four matches.

Meanwhile, Karachi Region Whites have shown resilience with three draws and a solitary win. Lahore Region Blues, with one win and a draw, have showcased their potential in the tournament.

Faisalabad Region has had a mixed run with a win, two draws, and a loss, while Lahore Region Whites have endured a tough season, managing to secure only four draws. Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Rawalpindi Region and Multan Region sit last on the points table.
